SYSGO’s PikeOS Kernel enables new platform architecture for military avionics systems.

SYSGO, the European vendor of reliable device software solutions, today announced the membership in the Component Obsolescence Group (COG) Germany. SYSGO will support the COG with its knowledge how to deal with software obsolescence as well as how to emulate obsolete hardware with software. With the virtualization operating system PikeOS, SYSGO has already proven to address obsolescence issues in the past.

SYSGO, a leading European provider of embedded system software, announces US distributor ACT/Technico Inc. and UK reseller Hitex Ltd. as new certified Distribution Partners. These latest partnerships enable SYSGO to expand its international distribution channels into the USA and UK. In the course of SYSGO's successful growth strategy, the specialist for embedded software is strengthening its position especially in the USA.

ObjectAda from AONIX is now available as a runtime Ada runtime environment on top of SYSGOs real-time operating system, PikeOS.

SYSGO, the European vendor for safety critical COTS software, today announced the release of a genuine software solution for AFDX (ARINC 664), the first pure software implementation of AFDX available on the market. SYSGO’s AFDX software solution will be undergo DO-178B Level B certification.

Beginning in April, SYSGO will offer University Cooperation based on SYSGO's University Program.

Open standards for electrical/electronic architectures are currently being promoted in almost all market segments. The AUTOSAR* initiative, for example, plans to present a standard at the end of 2006, and version IV of the OSGi standard** for networked applications has already been available since October 2005.

Hardware manufacturer MEN Mikro Elektronik from Nuremberg and Mainz based software house SYSGO are teaming up to provide consistent Linux PowerPC solutions. The new ELinOS 4.0 now also includes the BSP for the automotive PowerPC MPC5200 ESM (Embedded System Module) EM1 and EM1A from MEN.

SYSGO has received an order from a leading Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer. As part of the project, the PikeOS operating system platform is currently being ported to the MIPS processor, and the first prototypes should be available by the end of the year. The goal is the coexistence of Linux and the Japanese operating system specification ITRON on one CPU.

ERA has selected ELinOS for a new generation of MSS (Multilateration Surveillance System) radar system, which is scheduled for the beginning of 2006. Supported by the Czech SYSGO team ERA will migrate to Embedded Linux.

SYSGO today introduced version 1.3 of the PikeOS operating system platform. On the basis of PikeOS, operating system APIs such as Linux, POSIX, OSEK, Ada, (Real-Time) Java and ITRON are available, which can be operated together and protected against each other on one CPU. PikeOS is available for PowerPC, x86, ARM and MIPS architectures and can be easily adapted to other hardware platforms due to its modular design. PikeOS v3.1 is available now.
