In the initial joint project, the installation of PikeOS together with PIP10 is used in a safety-critical application for drive assistance in a huge excavator. The success of this collaboration enhances new Design-In possibilities for both companies in similar projects, where safety-critical control functions play an important role in rugged applications.”

Availability

The PikeOS port for MPL’s PIP10 is available immediately. PikeOS also supports the x86, PowerPC, and MIPS families of processors. The supported personalities include PikeOS Native, ARINC-653, Linux, POSIX and OSEK, as well as personalities involving partners or third-parties like Java, Ada, µITRON, CoDeSys, and FidelityVCF.
