As of October 2018, SYSGO GmbH, a Thales company, is an official "Development Partner" in the AUTOSAR consortium, a worldwide partnership developing the standardized software framework for intelligent mobility.

Smart mobility will be experienced by the participants of the "ConCarExpo 2018" from June 27 - 28 in Berlin.

SYSGO has appointed Etienne Butery as its new CEO. Etienne joins SYSGO from Sapura Thales Electronics, where he was Managing Director responsible for all operations of the telecommunications specialist for the past 7 years. Prior to that, he was Department Manager at Thales Communication, responsible for the development and implementation of security solutions for IT systems in various industries, including defence, public services and financial services.

Connected cars are a reality, most modern vehicles on the road nowadays have some form of connectivity to the open world. This raises important challenges on multiple software integration and cybersecurity. To address this challenge, Thales, through its German company SYSGO, and Vector, the Stuttgart-based specialist for automotive embedded electronics founded a joint-venture to address the critical issue of multiple software managing multiple – often safety-critical – functions.

Thales has chosen SYSGO's real-time operating system PikeOS for an innovative cockpit the company is currently developing. The Integrated Cockpit Display System (ICDS) will be the first real world implementation of Thales' "Avionics 2020" concept for next generation cockpit systems.

SYSGO GmbH is joining forces with the Linux Foundation to actively participate in their Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) project. In this open-source project, renowned automotive manufacturers and suppliers will work alongside hardware and software manufacturers to develop and implement a completely open software stack for the connected car.

The IT companies Vector and SYSGO have founded a joint venture for the development of embedded software. The aim of the cooperation is to create an integrated software platform consisting of the AUTOSAR adaptive basic software MICROSAR and the real-time operating system PikeOS.

SYSGO has launched version 6.2 of its Linux operating system – ELinOS – which is optimised for embedded applications. The new version is based on Linux kernel 4.9 with long-term support and real-time upgrades, and now supports Yocto Linux project kernels via a "generic platform BSP" too. ELinOS Security Services also help to close security loopholes quickly.

SYSGO GmbH, the leading European supplier of real time operating systems, has entered into a partnership with OSR Enterprises AG, a Swiss based automotive Tier-1 supplier which has built a next generation automotive platform based on artificial Intelligence (AI). As part of the collaboration, SYSGO's PikeOS will be integrated into OSR's automotive multi-domain AI Brain platform for autonomous driving and the Internet of Vehicles.

The two German manufacturers SYSGO and Lauterbach have signed a co-marketing agreement, expanding their partnership of 15 years. The objective is to provide common clients that use Lauterbach's debugging tools from the TRACE32 family together with SYSGO's real-time operating system PikeOS with even better support and to mutually set up new projects.

AdaCore today announced the release of its GNAT Pro 17.1 development environment for SYSGO's Real-Time Operating System PikeOS. With GNAT Pro 17.1, Ada users targeting PikeOS will see a number of product enhancements, including upgrades to the underlying code generator and debugger technologies (to GCC 6 and GDB 7.10, respectively), better elaboration order handling, improved stubbing in GNATtest, and enhanced debugger support in the GNAT Programming Studio (GPS) IDE.

In November 2016 SYSGO was certified by DQS GmbH according to the ISO/IEC standard 27001:2013. DQS as independent auditors, confirm that the manufacturer of operating systems and development tools for embedded applications has a comprehensive information security management system (ISMS) at all locations and has implemented secure, documented processes.

In space travel, there is an ever-increasing demand for computing and communication power. This is the only way to realise the pre-processing of large amounts of data from demanding experiments and payloads or complex image processing for robot control of autonomous docking manoeuvres. On 1 July 2016, the third phase of the OBC-SA project started, in which a modular architecture for such future on-board computer systems is being developed.
