SYSGO appoints Michael Tiedemann as CEO in Preparation for second Phase of Business Expansion
SYSGO, leading supplier of software solutions for the most demanding safety and security applications, announced today that Michael Tiedemann, former international sales manager at SYSGO, has been appointed as the new chief executive officer. Mr. Tiedemann succeeds Mr. Knut Degen, former CEO and co-founder, who remains a major and active shareholder of the company.
The move is one of the organizational changes recently initiated and corresponds to the company’s decision to prepare itself for an aggressive global business expansion plan.
“Michael has excellent market and technology knowledge together with the business sense required to steer SYSGO in the challenging but opportunity-rich embedded/real-time world.”, said Knut Degen. “We have seen his management capacity and business development skills grow tremendously over recent years, and so the time has come to empower Michael’s ambition, passion and knowledge.”
“SYSGO has the leading edge technology for the embedded market, not limited to but especially for secure and safety-critical applications. We are very proud of the success we had so far in this business. This success is based on the technology, designed from the start to satisfy new market requirements like virtualization, high security and multi-core support, and on the people at SYSGO who provide cutting-edge technology together with best-ofbreed professional services. Today, we are ready to use this great potential to serve our customers even better”, said Michael Tiedemann. “Having built the foundation of our success in the European embedded market, notably in the military and aerospace sector, we will now drive our regional and vertical expansion process even faster. We have already made some very successful moves in East Asia and the US and it is now the right time to push this success to the next level.”
Michael Tiedemann joined SYSGO as a sales manager in 1997. Since then he has been responsible for developing the worldwide sales business. In recent years, Mr. Tiedemann has played a strategic role in the company growth, driving business development and international expansion. Michael started as an electronics engineer 25 years ago, after graduating as a computer engineer at the University of Applied Science in Ulm/Germany. He then worked in the embedded market segment in sales and marketing positions.
