A Fusion of Innovation and Collaboration in Berlin
PACEdays 2025 was a standout event in the embedded systems and HMI development space, hosted in the vibrant city of Berlin from May 13 to 14. Bringing together key players across aerospace, automotive, and defense sectors, the event was more than just a showcase—it was a gathering of forward-thinkers committed to safety, certifiability, and innovation. We had the pleasure to not only introduce SYSGO’s core technologies but also illuminate the strategic importance of our growing partnership with PACE.
The center piece of the presentation was PikeOS, our flagship certifiable RTOS and separation kernel. Already trusted in industries with stringent safety demands, PikeOS’ Common Criteria EAL 5+ certification and compliance with standards like DO-178C and ISO 26262 underline its robustness. Our deep dive into PikeOS for MPU architectures was especially compelling—it opens new possibilities for certifiable real-time systems even on more resource-constrained platforms.
What resonated most was SYSGO’s emphasis on collaborative ecosystems. Our partnership with PACE was spotlighted through a newly introduced certifiable graphics reference platform, integrating PikeOS with PACE’s VAPS-XT HMI suite. The integration of secure OS-level virtualization with certifiable, intuitive graphical user interfaces marks a significant advancement in safety-critical display systems, particularly those adhering to the ARINC 661 standard—which standardizes cockpit display systems and their communication with user applications managing avionics functions. The inclusion of CoreAVI VulkanSC and the flexibility introduced by PACE’s VSR (software renderer) underscore a vision of performance without sacrificing certification or platform independence.

Aside from the tech, PACEdays itself had a great atmosphere: Expert panels, networking lounges, and live demos made it easy to connect, learn, and collaborate. It was clear that SYSGO’s contribution stood out not just for their technical depth but for their strategic foresight in enabling full-stack certifiable solutions, from hardware abstraction all the way to the HMI.
PACEdays proved to be the perfect stage to demonstrate our vision and we are looking forward to seeing how this partnership evolves.
