On September 11, 2024, SYSGO presented at the TRISTAN Tech Conference in Graz, Austria. The event, hosted by Technische Universität Graz and supported by NXP Semiconductors Austria, marked one of the largest RISC-V gatherings in Austria, attracting a diverse audience of students, professors, and industry experts.

The TRISTAN Technical Conference 2024 was a two-day event that provided a unique platform for R&D professionals, engineers, and academics to engage with the latest advancements in RISC-V technology. The first day of the event was open to the public, offering a rare opportunity for attendees to connect with key players in the European semiconductor industry. The second day was dedicated exclusively to project members, allowing for in-depth discussions and collaborations on advancing the European RISC-V ecosystem.


Presentation: Trace Ingress Port (TIP) on CVA6

SYSGO's presentation, titled "Trace Ingress Port (TIP) on CVA6," focused on the implementation of the Trace Ingress Port on the CVA6 core, a critical component in the broader TRISTAN project. The TIP on CVA6 represents a significant step forward in the project’s goal to enhance traceability and time measurement capabilities in RISC-V based systems.

During the presentation, we detailed the technical challenges and innovative solutions involved in developing the TIP. We discussed how this advancement contributes to the overall reliability and efficiency of the CVA6 core, making it a more viable option for various industrial applications. The audience responded positively to SYSGO’s insights, recognizing the importance of such developments in strengthening the European RISC-V ecosystem.


About the TRISTAN Project

The TRISTAN project is a pivotal initiative aimed at expanding, maturing, and industrializing the European RISC-V ecosystem. With a consortium of 46 partners, including some of Europe’s largest companies and semiconductor IDMs, TRISTAN is dedicated to creating a robust and sovereign alternative to existing commercial and proprietary systems.

The project’s holistic approach covers all aspects of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and the complete software stack. Key focus areas include the development of thoroughly tested and verified RISC-V building blocks, comprehensive documentation, and the creation of a rich variety of supporting tools and libraries. By focusing on these areas, TRISTAN aims to ensure that RISC-V technology is readily accessible and reliable for industrial users.
